INFORMATIONPROVIDERS/COLLABORATORS
This notice informs about the operation on this website of the cookies it uses and the purposes for which they are used.
Cookies are small text strings that sites visited by the user send to the user's terminal (usually to the browser), where they are stored in order to be re-transmitted to the same sites the next time the same user visits. In the course of browsing a site, the user may also receive on his terminal equipment cookies that are sent from different sites or web servers (so-called "third parties"), on which some elements (such as, for example, images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages of other domains) present on the site he is visiting may reside.
Cookies are used for different purposes: performing computer authentication, session tracking, storing information about specific configurations regarding users accessing the server, etc.
Two macro-categories are identified: "technical" cookies and "profiling" cookies:
a. Technical cookies
Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of "carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such a service."
They are not used for any further purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or operator of the website. They can be divided into navigation or session cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access restricted areas); analytics cookies, assimilated to technical cookies where used directly by the website operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the website itself; functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a set of selected criteria (e.g. language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service rendered to the same.
b. Profiling cookies
Profiling cookies are aimed at creating profiles related to the user and are used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the same in the context of web browsing. Due to the particular invasiveness that these devices can have within the private sphere of users, European and Italian regulations provide that the user must be adequately informed about their use and thus express his/her valid consent.
Cookies are generally stored in the browser's file directory to be read and retransmitted to the person who originally created the cookie on the next visit to the site.
You can view cookies using most text editors by simply clicking on them. In the following links, it is explained how to view cookies within some browsers. You should refer to the cookie information provided by the browser itself, for other types of browsers or in the case of cell phones.
