Decsa's CFR-A series evaporative condensers are made of hot-dip galvanized Z-725 steel plate and are equipped with state-of-the-art axial fans that can optimize the L/G ratio within the units, thus reducing the committed power and operating costs.
Like Decsa's other products, CFR-A evaporative condensers stand out in the market for the important certifications obtained. In fact, the CFR-A model is designed and manufactured in accordance with the Quality System certified according to ISO 9001:2015 standards and according to the Directive 2014/68/EU (PED), which guarantees the pressure tightness of coils installed up to 40 bar and authorizes its use with pressures up to 28 bar.
Implementation with the special DecsaCOATING PLUS protection also ensures a reduction in water quality control chemicals, thus providing significant cost savings and greater environmental sustainability. Completing the offer is the wide range of available variants, making the CFR-A series a versatile evaporative condenser model adaptable to all kinds of applications in industrial refrigeration and cold chain systems.
The CFR-A series evaporative condenser is designed with Z-725 hot-dip galvanized steel sheet structures and panels. To simplify routine maintenance, the panels are easily removable without the need for dedicated tools.
The chilled water catch basin is made of hot-dip galvanized Z-725 steel sheet, complete with a sloped bottom to prevent water stagnation, a chilled water outlet fitting with an easy-to-inspect anti-vortex filter, a drain and overflow fitting, a make-up water fitting with float, reinforced PVC air inlet grilles, and a bleed-off pipe.
The coil of the heat exchange section of the CFR-A series evaporative condensers consists of coils made of premium steel tube, which are bent and then tested in a water bath at a pressure of 25 bar. The coil is then tested with compressed air at 40 bar, and then galvanized by immersion in a molten zinc bath.
CFR-A evaporative condensers are made with axial fans with a balanced impeller equipped with stationary steerable blades with a high-efficiency profile. The peripheral speed of the impeller is deliberately limited so as to ensure low noise. As with the REF-A and TMA-EU cooling towers, the CFR-A model is also available with low-noise fans on request.
Special protective epoxy powder coating DecsaCOATING PLUS, an additional protection available in all colors of the RAL scale, can be added to equipment .

The CFR-A series is designed and built to best meet our Customers' needs for reliability and quiet operation. Designed for the purpose of cooling ammonia or refrigerant gases, these evaporative condensers are equipped with airfoil axial fans available in aluminum or FRP, depending on the model. Equipment certification according to Directive 2014/68/EU (PED) ensures use with operating pressures up to 28 bar. Particularly suitable where evaporative condensers with high efficiency but low operating cost are required, the CFR-A series is ideal for all applications in industrial refrigeration.
The CFR-A series is designed to ensure low operating costs, in part due to the limited power consumption of the motors powering the axial fans.
The structure and panels are high-strength Z-725 hot-dip galvanized steel (725 gsm); the panels are complete with one or more watertight doors for internal inspection.
CFR-A evaporative condensers are manufactured in accordance with Directive 97/23/EC (PED), which guarantees the pressure tightness of installed coils up to
40 bar and authorizes their use at operating pressures up to 28 bar.
The CFR-A series is equipped with the latest generation of axial fans, which can optimize the L/G ratio within the unit resulting in lower committed power and reduced operating costs.
