Regarding the production line of evaporative condensers for industrial use, Decsa provides, among the products manufactured, the CFR-C series, which is built with a Z-725 hot-dip galvanized sheet metal casing and equipped with double-intake, low-noise centrifugal fans.
Designed for condensing gases such as ammonia or other refrigerant gases, the CFR-C series features a capacity range of 148 to 7281 kW and is particularly suitable for industrial refrigeration plant applications where reliability, efficiency, quiet operation and low operating cost are required.
Equipped with coils first-rate heat exchange, these evaporative condensers with centrifugal fans ensure pressure tightness up to 40 bar and allow their use with operating pressures up to 28 bar, in accordance with the requirements of Directive 2014/68/EU (PED). The CFR-C series is also built according to the quality standards of the ISO 9001 Quality System and in compliance with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. Precisely in order to ensure greater environmental sustainability and, at the same time, greater economic savings, Decsa has developed a special protection to be applied, upon request, to condensers and cooling towers in HDGS Z-725: a DecsaCOATING PLUS epoxy powder coating, which ensures reduced use of chemicals for water quality control.
The CFR-C series is manufactured with high-strength structures and paneling made of hot-dip galvanized Z-725 steel sheet. To ensure adequate internal inspection at equipment, the panels feature one or more watertight doors.
The chilled water catch basin consists of a Z-725 hot-dip galvanized steel sheet, complete with a sloping bottom to prevent water stagnation, a chilled water outlet fitting with anti-vortex filter, a drainage and overflow fitting, a make-up water fitting with float, and a bleed-off pipe equipped with a regulating valve.
The coils contained in the heat exchange section of the CFR-C evaporative condensers consist of electro-welded tubes of high-grade steel and bent into coils individually tested with compressed air at 25 bar. Once the complete heat exchange coil is made, it is immersed in a tank of water and tested with compressed air at 40 bar; the coils are subsequently galvanized by immersion in a molten zinc bath according to EN ISO 1461.
The fan section of the CFR-C series consists of dynamically balanced, double-intake centrifugal fans with low-noise, forward-curved blade impellers mounted on solid or tubular shafts, depending on the models. Drive is provided by belts and trapezoidal pulleys while safety equipment includes the addition of wire mesh guards on the air inlet.

The CFR-C series, made of Z-725 galvanized sheet metal, is equipped with state-of-the-art centrifugal fans of maximum efficiency and minimum noise, and designed specifically for the industrial sector. The evaporation of water inside the equipment is enhanced by balancing the L/G ratio as best as possible and using "full surface" HDGS heat exchanger coils certified according to the 2014/68/EU Directive (PED), which guarantees operating pressures up to 28 bar.
Therefore, the CFR-C evaporative condenser is particularly suitable for plant applications in industrial refrigeration, while ensuring low operating costs and efficient operation.
The centrifugal fans of the CFR-C series are double inlets with forward-curved blades impeller dynamically balanced and mounted on flat or tubular shafts. Equipped with optional inlet or discharge silencers, these evaporative condensers guarantee minimum noise levels.

CFR-C evaporative condensers are built in accordance with Directive 2014/68/EU (PED) which guarantees the
pressure tightness of installed coils up to 40 bar and authorizes their use at operating pressures up to 28 bar. They are also built according to ISO 9001 quality standards.
Evaporative cooling of the CFR-C series is realized using a tube bundle. The coils, of first-rate quality, are made from EN ISO 10305-3 grade E235 electro-welded tubes welded by a spark process, bent into continuous coils and subjected to stringent quality control.
