In the area of cooling towers at closed-circuit, Decsa has designed the REF-A series, a cooling tower equipped with axial fans designed to meet all plant applications where high efficiency and low operating cost are required.
Made of hot-dip galvanized Z-725 sheet steel, the REF-A series is designed for water cooling without contamination with the atmosphere and is best integrated into systems where quiet operation andreliability are a key consideration in equipment selection. The state-of-the-art axial fans used for these cooling towers at closed-circuit allow optimization of the L/G ratio within the unit, ensuring a decrease in committed power and a reduction in operating costs.
The REF-A series is built in compliance with the quality standards of the UNI EN ISO 9001 Quality System and is also designed in accordance with the Decsa standard suitable to guarantee the pressure tightness of the installed coils up to 25 bar authorizing its use with operating pressures up to 7 bar. The coils contained in the section are made of first-rate electrowelded tubes EN ISO 10305-3 grade E235 and subjected to immersion galvanizing process according to EN ISO 1461.
All structures and paneling of the cooling tower closed REF-A are made of hot-dip galvanized Z-725 steel sheet. Panels are bolted and sealed for perfect water tightness, complete with one or more hatches for internal inspection. To facilitate routine maintenance, the panels are removable without the use of dedicated equipment.
The cooling tower at closed-circuit REF-A consists of a Z-725 hot-dip galvanized steel sheet cooled water basin complete with a sloping bottom to prevent water stagnation, a cooled water outlet fitting with an easily inspected anti-vortex filter, a drainage and overflow fitting, a make-up water fitting complete with float, reinforced PVC air inlet grilles, and a bleed-off pipe.
The heat exchange section consists of a coil made of top-grade steel pipe coils, individually bent and tested at a pressure of 25 bar in a water bath. The coil is subsequently tested with compressed air at 20 bar, and then galvanized by immersion in a molten zinc bath.
The REF-A series is equipped with axial fans with a balanced impeller and swivel blades with a high-efficiency profile. All types of axial fans available can be connected directly to electric motors (possibly controlled by inverters) or through the use of angle gearboxes with reduced level of maintenance. On request, these cooling towers at closed-circuit They can be supplied with axial fans with low noise emission.
To complete the offer, the evaporative cooler can be further protected with a special protective epoxy powder coating(DecsaCOATING PLUS) available in all colors of the RAL scale.

Designed for all types of plant applications that aim to save operating costs and ensure high-efficiency thermodynamic performance, the cooling tower at closed-circuit REF-A is made of Z-725 galvanized sheet metal with state-of-the-art axial fans and is designed for process cooling of contamination-free water.
The wide choice of variants offered by Decsa, makes the REF-A closed circuit cooling tower an extremely flexible series and particularly suitable for applications in cooling systems in the food, automotive, power generation, air conditioning, chemical, metallurgical and industrial fields.
The cooling tower REF-A series makes it possible to optimize the L/G ratio within the unit, limiting the electrical input of the motors powering the axial fans and thus ensuring low operating costs.
The REF-A series structure has Z-725 (725 gsm) galvanized steel panels; the panels are bolted and sealed for perfect water tightness and complete with one or more watertight doors for internal inspection.
The manufacture of the REF-A series from HDGS Z-725 galvanized steel with the special DecsaCOATING PLUS protection makes it possible to reduce the use of chemicals for water quality control resulting in cost savings and greater environmental sustainability.
The cooling towers REF-A are designed to minimize ancillary costs, in particular transport costs. In fact, it is possible to transport the various sections on normal trucks, or in the case of transport by sea, through normal containers, without resorting to exceptional transport with escort
