Realizing that in order to ensure a better future for people and the planet, concrete and environmentally sustainable actions and changes are needed from everyone, Decsa has chosen to make concern for theEnvironment and Sustainability two fundamental principles of its corporate philosophy.
A constant and challenging path, which has enabled us over time to achieve important milestones, such as the prestigious certification of the Environmental Management System
UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 and the Ecovadis silver medal for sustainability.
The UNI EN ISO 14001 certification brings together the environmental quality standards to which the company must comply in order to be awarded this recognition.
Specifically, certification requires the organization to commit to implementing and improving its environmental management system, ensuring its compliance with legal standards, efficient environmentally sustainable management, and identifying improvement actions through continuous monitoring of environmental results.
Once certification has been obtained, the company is required to continuously comply with the environmental standards and requirements imposed, continuing to apply and maintain the conditions that enabled it to achieve this goal.
Decsa, which has always been attentive to the environment and sustainability, obtained certification of compliance with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standards in 2018 and is still committed to maintaining and improving its environmental standards.
In terms of sustainability and attention to the Environment, in March 2024 Decsa reached a new and important milestone: it is the prestigious recognition of the silver medal of EcoVadis, a renowned international provider of corporate sustainability assessments.
Indeed, the Ecovadis platform confirmed Decsa's long-standing commitment to and performance in corporate sustainability, awarding the company the silver medal that identifies Decsa among the top 15 percent of the world's best companies that have taken the assessment.
An achievement that once again confirms Decsa's constant and ongoing focus on all areas of corporate sustainability: environment, ethics, labor practices and human rights, and sustainable purchasing.
The awards obtained do not represent a point of arrival but merely stages on an eco-sustainable path that Decsa intends to travel every day.
Our green approach is reflected in our everyday activities and actions: from the use of recyclable materials, to the use of electric and hybrid cars, to the implementation of photovoltaic systems in the company to recover energy.
