To better meet its Customers' needs for quiet operation and reliability, Decsa has designed the cooling tower REF-C series, a cooling tower at closed-circuit equipped with low-noise, dynamically balanced, double-intake centrifugal fans mounted on shafts that can be tubular or solid, depending on the model.
Designed for contamination-free water cooling and suitable for all kinds of applications in industrial process cooling and HVAC systems, the cooling tower at closed-circuit REF-C features a Z-725 hot-dip galvanized steel sheet structure and panels, which can be further protected with a special layer of epoxy powder coating called DecsaCOATING PLUS.
The REF-C series is also constructed in accordance with the quality standards of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Quality System. In addition, the coils heat exchangers used for this cooling tower are designed with first-rate EN ISO 12305-3 grade E235 electro-welded tubes, welded by a spark welding process, bent into continuous coils and subjected to rigorous quality control. The coils are then subjected to the galvanizing process by immersion in a molten zinc bath in full compliance with EN ISO 1461.
All structures and containment panels of the cooling tower REF-C series are made of Z-725 hot-dip galvanized steel (725 g/sqm zinc coating). The panels, which can be removed without the aid of dedicated equipment in order to simplify routine maintenance, are bolted and sealed for perfect water tightness and complete with one or more hatches for internal inspection.
The REF-C series is equipped with a basin for collecting cooled water. In addition, it has a cooled water outlet connection with an easily inspected vortex filter, a drain and overflow connection, a make-up water connection complete with float switch, and a purge line.
The heat exchange section of the cooling tower REF-C consists of a coil made of premium steel pipe coils, individually bent and tested at a pressure of 25 bar in a water bath. The coil is then tested with compressed air at 20 bar, and then galvanized by immersion in a molten zinc bath. The containment casing consists of hot-dip galvanized Z-725 steel panels assembled with the interposition of mastic for a perfect seal.
The REF-C cooling tower features low-noise centrifugal fans with a double inlet and a forward-curved blade impeller. Self-aligning, permanently lubricated ball bearings complete the equipment. Transmission is through belts and trapezoidal pulleys.
Like all Decsa products, it is possible-to complete the offer-to further protect cooling tower with the special protective epoxy powder coating DecsaCOATING PLUS, available in all colors of the RAL scale.

Thanks to its low-noise centrifugal fans, the REF-C series integrates best where quietness and reliability are required. This closed circuit cooling tower is also ideal for plant applications where high-efficiency solutions with low running costs and reduced accessory costs, such as the transport of the cooling tower itself, are required.
Designed for evaporative cooling of water without contamination, the REF-C series is therefore particularly suitable for solutions in food, automotive, power generation, air conditioning, chemical, metallurgical and industrial fields.
The centrifugal fans installed on cooling tower REF-C are double-intake with forward-curved blade impeller, dynamically balanced and mounted on solid or tubular shafts. Equipped with silencers on suction or discharge, these cooling towers ensure maximum quietness.
The REF-C series is designed to minimize ancillary costs, especially transportation costs. Indeed, it is possible to transport the various sections on ordinary trucks, or if transport by sea is necessary, through ordinary containers, without resorting to exceptional transport with escort.
Evaporative cooling of the REF-C evaporative tower is implemented using a tube bundle. The coils are made from first-rate EN ISO 10305-3 grade E235 electro-welded tubes bent into continuous coils and subjected to stringent quality control.
The REF-C series closed circuit cooling tower's structure consists of Z-725 galvanised steel panels (725 g/sqm), bolted and sealed for water tightness and complete with watertight doors for internal inspection.
