Open circuit cooling towers

Open circuit cooling towers are cooling units that cool down a mass of industrial water to high temperatures through direct contact with air.

The encounter of sucked or pushed air with water causes partial evaporation of the same ( 3-4%) that then cools down the remaining water mass ( the latent heat of evaporation). It is sent back to the initial process to absorb heat again and start the cycle once more.

Primarily used in process cooling or air conditioning(HVAC), Decsa's open circuit cooling towers are available in TMA-EU and SQA (flow versus current) models; both are equipped with axial fans. The TMR model, on the other hand, is equipped with centrifugal fans.

All available series, made of galvanized steel sheet, are enhanced through the use of fill packs high-efficiency and balancing the L/G ratio to the best advantage.

The development of fill packs increasingly high-performance allows us to work today with approaches close to 2K and thus to obtain from the open circuit cooling cooling towers cooled water outlet temperatures increasingly close to the reference wet-bulb temperature values.
