
ONYX adiabatic condensers are heat exchangers specifically designed for use with NH₃ refrigerant as standard. In favorable climatic conditions, heat dissipation occurs in dry mode, with heat released directly into the atmosphere.
When the outside temperature rises, the system automatically activates adiabatic cooling, using water evaporation to increase heat exchange efficiency.
Thanks to this principle, ONYX condensers allow gas to be condensed at a temperature lower than the dry bulb temperature, operating in complete safety and without the need for water treatment.
The ONYX adiabatic condensation solution combines a dry condenser with an adiabatic pre-cooling section. The latter is designed to reduce the temperature of the incoming air through the controlled evaporation of water on a support specifically developed for industrial applications.
ONYX adiabatic technology is also available in a hybrid version, allowing the same unit to be used both to dissipate heat from the cooling water circuit of the refrigeration system compressor and to condense the refrigerant gas.
Motor-fan units with energy-efficient EC motors (› IE5), coupled with low-speed axial fans to ensure reduced consumption, low noise levels, and no maintenance. Technology compliant with Eco-design (ErP) requirements.
Stainless steel coils with expanded tubes through the fins to ensure high mechanical strength and thermal conductivity. Tested according to PED Directive. HYBRID version available to also provide heat dissipation from the compressor water.
H-shaped coil layout for complete and safe access to motors, fans, and internal surfaces. Access equipped with a safety sensor allows internal disassembly of the motor-fan unit without the need for external structures.
TheONYX rangeis fully Plug & Play and equipped with Schneider automation with HMI (Human Machine Interaction) for safe control of EC motors and pre-cooling functions. Optional communication protocols available: Ethernet, Modbus, BACnet, Web, and LonWorks.
Refrigerant containment and protection device. SafetyFrame: containment sleeve for better management of condenser refrigerant. SafetyPulse: refrigerant abatement system in case of leak detection. SafetyDrain: safe recovery and evacuation network.
The TOPAZ® NEO III adiabatic cooler pads ( ) are reversible and made of cellulose, designed to ensure high performance and easy maintenance.
Tool-free removal is standard, with a GREEN resin option for greater sustainability.
