Our TOPAZ adiabatic cooler combines a dry cooler with an adiabatic pre-cooling section, improving cooling efficiency, especially in critical environmental conditions.
The system uses water evaporation on special humidification panels, which lower the temperature of the air entering the coils.
In dry mode, the fluid is cooled inside the vertical coils by the flow of air at ambient temperature drawn in by axial fans installed on the top of the unit.
The adiabatic panels remain dry and the fan speed, regulated by an inverter, adapts to the thermal load to ensure the required outlet temperature. Hot air is expelled upwards.
Adiabatic mode
When the outside temperature exceeds a predefined set point, the system activates adiabatic mode: water wets the cooling panels and the air is pre-cooled thanks to the evaporation of part of the water before passing through the coils, increasing the thermal output.
The non-evaporated water is collected in a stainless steel tank and recirculated, ensuring reduced water consumption, no chemical treatment, and no risk of Legionella.
TOPAZ® NEO adiabatic coolers are equipped with:
Without glycol or thermal load, the coils are exposed to freezing, making it uncertain whether the circuits will be completely emptied.
To overcome this problem, we can offer you two additional options on the TOPAZ® NEO range of adiabatic coolers.
Self-draining coils allow complete emptying by gravity, without the injection of compressed air. We have made this process possible thanks to the design of the copper manifolds and the special arrangement of the pipes.
In addition to self-draining coil technology, we have complemented our offering with associated electronic and hydraulic control, which allows for emptying in the event of a general power failure to protect the battery.
Motor-fan units with energy-efficient EC ( Electronically Commutated) motors (› IE5), designed to reduce consumption and noise. Direct coupling to low-speed axial fans for efficient, quiet, and maintenance-free operation. Technology compliant with Eco-design requirements (ErP – EU Reg. 327/2011 / Dir. 2009/125/EC).
Copper coils with aluminum fins coated in epoxy resin. Tubes expanded through the fins to ensure optimized mechanical strength and thermal conductivity. Tested in accordance with the PED Directive. Self-draining coils available for gravity drainage and integrated automatic power and flow adjustments.
H-shaped coil layout for complete and safe access to motors, fans, and internal surfaces. Access equipped with safety sensor and internal disassembly of the motor-fan unit, without the need for external structures.
TheTOPAZ NEO rangeis fully Plug & Play and equipped with Schneider automation with HMI (Human Machine Interaction) for safe control of EC motors and pre-cooling functions. Optional communication protocols available: Ethernet, Modbus, BACnet, Web, and LonWorks.
The TOPAZ® NEO III adiabatic cooler pads ( ) are reversible and made of cellulose, designed to ensure high performance and easy maintenance.
Tool-free removal is standard, with a GREEN resin option for greater sustainability.
